I'm pretty new to this collecting bug, and in the past few weeks I have been looking on this site for news and bits of info on new chips, see what is going on, and see who is who.
Even I have noticed a trend of underlying hostility and nastiness!(Especially amongst the guys!)
This is a great hobby which seems to be getting spoiled by the "mob" element which is invading every aspect of society nowadays. There is no need for it! We are all just a group of people who happen to have an activity in common, who, for the most part, seem to have forgotten the noble traits of civility, politeness and just being downright friendly and helpful!
Quite a few time I come across a few individuals who insist on scalping their fellow collectors, wether it be on their own website, or ebay. This is not what I got into the hobby for! If I want to make a quick buck from somebody, i'll open a store, not price-gouge my friends!
Anyway, now I've vented....some good news!
Some of you know I work at the Wildfire casino in Vegas. My boss is getting a craps table in, and that means $1 chips!
I'm not going to charge $5 a pop. I'll trade face value for ships, islands, foreign and brothels, or if you want, send me a postage and a buck for each one, and I'll mail them off to you.
As soon as we get them in, I'll post a message, and a scan if possible.
