...how Steve Martin felt in the movie "The Jerk" when his name appeared in the phone book. I just recieved my CCGTCC membership. I am somebody now!
While I have been collecting for a short time and have a little knowledge, I have learned quite a bit by eavesdropping in on this BB. I do however have several questions that I can't seem to find the answer by myself.
Concerning the smiling, mad, etc. faces. Is there a list somewhere that has all of those commands? Why isn't there one that has his thumbs in his ears with a tongue that goes ppbbbbbbttt!
I also spent quite awhile on the CCGTCC website and finally found a glossery that was very helpfull to me. Why is that glossery so unavailable when it is so helpfull to a newbie such as myself? Was I just looking in the wrong place?
I also noticed a term that I have seen on this BB several times was glaringly absent from the glossery. That term is Jilling.
I understand the general idea. When I was trying to find that definition I was wondering things like, Do I need to invest in a set of knee pads so I don't wear out my pants while begging? Do I need to adopt a whine to my voice that makes the dogs in my neighborhood all howl? Is it a combination of these?
While I was wondering about this the obvious occured to me. A subject like this cannot be summed up to a mere sentence or two. Jilling is not just a single act but a technique that must be practiced and refined to perfection. This realization has done nothing more but lead me to a whole new list of questions.
If it is a technique that can be learned are there classes that I could take? Are there self help books that I could read? Books with titles like "Jilling for Dummies" I wouldn't be surprised if there were even a monostary hidden in the mountains in Tibet run by the Bitner monks that have devoted their lives to perfecting their techniques. (I think they are one mountain over from the cappiccun monks)
Any help in answering my questions are appreciated and please forgive my ignorance in these matters for I am only a newbie.
Thanks
