Steve, I don't believe my situation is ususual in that I have never paid low book price for any of my chips. Then again, I have never asked low book price either, so I guess everything balances out.
As much as I think the chip rack (which is the only reference book I have other than the GT) is a very valuable tool for Nevada collectors, I have never relied upon it to determine what I thought a chip was worth to me.
I know that I and many others that visit antique stores, swap meets etc. will walk away immediately if we see the seller has a copy of the Chip Rack. Heck, we can pay the low TCR price for a chip anytime.
