The chip is in poor condition. If the chip was legible, it would still be in my collection. Hey, the chip stands on edge, Lol !!! The hot stamp on this chip is not very deep, not sure if that is common for this chip? When I first saw the chip I knew it was a Thunderbird Hotel chip, others must not have or else I would have paid more for the chip.
Am I surprised it sold for this much? The only way for me to answer this question is I knew I would make my money back and then some. That's the reason I started the auction at a $0.99 opening bid. The more profit for me, the more chips I can buy for my collection. Buying and selling is how I acquired most of my personal collection.
Is the chip still a Z6+. Absolutely, a collector will pay somewhere in that $5,000 to $8000 range for that chip in mint condition. I know of only 1 chip in that condition and I know of only 2 or 3 chips that exist.
For me and most, the thrill is in the hunt and finding of great and sometimes rare chips. I believe I have i nice little resume for such finds.
Thanks for everyone watching the auction. I cross posted in several groups on Facebook to put the word out on a rare chip up for auction.
