Hi Top. The post office is private only in the sense that they are self supporting. The post office supports itself through the sale of stamps. However, other than that, they are like any other Federal agency. Pensions, pay grades, holidays, etc are all normal Federal items.

I'm not sure where to look, but I'm sure there's a website that posts grade levels and pay for postal workers. Of course many carriers get tons of OT. Unlike others, OT does not figure into pension calulations.
