The Mirage opened in November and I had a reservation for a couple of nights opening week. Back then you made hotel reservations over the phone and they mailed you a confirmation. I had a table at Jim Munding’s Bellflower chip show in October and everyone was talking about the Mirage. I put the hotel confirmation in my display case and everyone noticed and commented on it. I guess I was the first to display Mirage memorabilia at a chip show, LOL.
