Here's a picture I took a few days ago -- the Tropicana with demolition in process. Looks like they are removing the facade first. Some smaller structures have been razed too.

As I understand it, after the steel superstructure is all that remains, it will then be brought down with explosive charges.

Note that the marquee at left still advertises the Laugh Factory, with the caption "We Guarantee Laughs". I don't know if there's an ironic message in there are not?
