Thanks for the info. I will keep your info in mind. I would feel guilty though as I am not in much of a position to reciprocate in such an arrangement. I do not have a great supply of traders or chips to actually sell right now. I do have a few extras that I have picked up here and there but not enough to really make such an arrangement fair for the others. I do hope to make a few trips to area casinos here around Chicago and would pick up chips to trade or sell. Haven't done that yet though.

I have taken to buying from a bunch of dealers that I have established relationships with on eBay. They have been fair and as a result I buy most of my chips direct on release rather than going to the auctions. I usually pay a couple bucks over face + about $1.50 shipping. I am fully agreeable to pay some extra for chips from Vegas as I can't get there often enough. People should be able to get something for fronting the money and standing in line and sending out all the packages. I have never, personnally, had a problem on eBay, with a dealer, but I have seen numereous posts here about questionable auctions. My previous post was just highlighting some of my observations with the subject ad and a few suggestions about where some of these sellers go wrong, assuming they do not intend to be unscrupulous. I think in the competative world and eBay culture, it is often difficult to see when you have crossed the line. My point is, as a buyer, I keep my eyes open and use my head to try and avoid such problems.

Most of my problems have actually been with bidders who do not understand the system. As an example, while I still got a fair deal, I had an auction go from $21 to $49 as one person incrementally bid at the bigginning trying to out bid me. When he couldn't he gave up and another person placed a bid over mine. Due to this frequent occourance, I always hold back a little on my innitial bids. The first guy came back and incrimentally bid at the end to outbid the other guy. By the end, three of us ended up sniping and I got three bids in, in 30 sec. to win with 1 second left. It was a nightmare. Had I bid $50 at the beginning like I had been willing, I am sure the auction would have gone to $60. Like I said, I have a more frequent problem with bidders who don't know what they are buying or how to bid.
