In which case, you'd want to preserve the "overprint," no? I have several chips of that sort - the Dog House where the casino desperately needed to convert fractonal chips into dollar or five-dollar gaming pieces for a tournament - Diamond Tooth Gertie because she couldn't get the right denomination chips delivered to the Yukon in time - those sort of things.
