I want to say I didn't know what Steve was talking about when he said helped me when I was in an official Club position. Well I do know what he was referring to now and I honestly can't believe I forgot it.

When I was Convention Chair we outgrew the Orleans and were looking for a new venue for the Convention. There are few if any place that we could find at a cost the Club could afford. Steve came to me and said he had good contacts at the Trop (his museum was there at the time). He met with the Trop and got us a contract that was the same or less than we paid at the Orleans. And we stayed at the Trop for many years.

If I didn't thank Steve it was a huge oversight on my part. Steve getting that contract was a huge life saver for me as Chairman and more importantly the Club. I wanted to set the record straight and give Steve the credit he deserves. Most members never knew he was the reason we were able to move back to the strip and have a bigger show room.
