You’re thinking of my post where I asked people here to help me identify users who signed up for an account on the CCA forums but didn’t provide a first and last name, which is one of the requirements that the board set forth. Those that don’t meet the criteria are being banned and/or outright deleted. There are also accounts being set up with fake email addresses. As such, they can’t authenticate and become active so no need to keep them in the “members” list (keep in mind that a member of the forums does not need to be a member of the CCA.
If a user of the forums violates the policies set up by the board, or the terms & conditions that were presented when they signed up, then they will be issued a warning and their post(s) MAY be quarantined for review (or not). Repeated violations could lead to a ban, but I suspect the warnings will suffice and banning will be an unlikely outcome. These are the policies of the CCA, lest you think I’m going rogue.
That is the CCA forums. THIS platform is a private enterprise owned by David Spragg and he can do whatever he likes or do nothing at all. I would personally prefer that he quash the mean spirited attack posts, especially when they’re repeated for the umpteenth time, but my guess is that he’s taking a very liberal freedom of speech position and being hands-off. I don’t speak for him, obviously. Just my observation.
