Joel -- Associate members' votes count on an equal basis to regular members. Your point has been brought up many times in the past, but the situation has never come up. The Associate Membership requirement used to be immediate family only, but I believe that limitation has been overlooked in hopes of expanding club membership. I would think that the Membership Officer might alert the BoD or Election Chairman if something like what you mentioned happened.
