New ideas...and people to execute them

Steve,

Thanks for your encouragement!

One of the items we have is "how do we collect and process ideas?" Right now maybe it gets posted as an idea by itself. Or buried within an unrelated thread here or PCF or elsewhere.

We are hoping to define 2 important things:
- How and where people submit ideas
- How the club processes them. Things like: how are the tracked? Who looks at them? Who decides if we proceed with it? Who responds to the submitter and how? How long should the process take?

What everyone needs to keep in mind is that we don't just need ideas (we have a backlog of 70+ so far and counting) . We need people to refine, process and execute them. Remember: this is a club run by part time volunteers. Just keeping the lights on and the training moving takes a lot of effort.

In order to get the extra things we all would like to see, people will need to step up and help. As Doug said:

With all that going on we will definitely be looking for volunteers to help with many of the specific issues that the committee will be working thru. We are currently looking to formalize a procedure for adding volunteers to help so if you're interested please keep a lookout for future announcements.

Until we develop that formal process:

If you would like to be a part of these exciting new improvements to the CCA and are willing to volunteer, please send an email to Allan Anderson @ adesign@sbcglobal.net
