Matchbook article

Eric’s article in the magazine showed some neat matchbooks.
Thought I’d add a couple photos.
Belle Livingstone was pretty much put out of business by Graham
and McKay who didn’t appreciate the competition. The address was
2295 S. Virginia same as the Old Orchard trailer park where I
briefly lived in the 70s.
The Alpine became the 116 club and then the Stein from ‘58-‘85.
There was a neat old back bar that probably dated to 1931.
The location of The Casino was once called Alunite. When RR Pass
was closed for cheating it was a souvenir shop called the Pass.
The Palm became the New China Club. I would go there to watch
the Fan Tan game.
The Purple Sage became the Silver Dollar Saloon. I remember they
had craps and 21.
