C’mon, you guys. It’s one thing to disagree on things. It’s another to create personal wars on a site that is supposed to be about the collecting community. I’m sorry to get all Rodney King on you, but can’t we all just get along?

Davis Spragg, I understand that this is a personal/business site and you’re (hopefully) a free speech advocate, but you are able to create and enforce whatever terms and conditions you want for the participants of this site. I would STRONGLY encourage you to step up and lay the hammer down on all of the negativity, personal attacks, accusations, retorts, rebuttals, allegations, innuendo, and the like.

I know this site is popular and it generates income for you. If you’d like to grow it, or at least see it not wilt away, you need to start weeding out those that are infesting your garden. Otherwise, you’ll be growing only rocks. Sure, you’ll lose some eyeballs for those catchy ads at the top. I don’t know how much revenue you’ve already lost if/because fewer people visit and fewer people post (which creates replies which creates page views). If you can’t (or won’t) create and/or maintain a login mechanism to keep out spammers and other “weeds”, consider switching to a new platform (cue complaints of “it’s great the way it is”). I know you have the ability to block ip addresses and IP address blocks. Use that powerful tool. Sure, some will find alternate IPs to post from for a while. But your whack-a-mole game is strong and the weeds will give up eventually.

As for the rest of you, just knock it the he** off. You are acting like children or senile old geezers (or both). Be the people you want your kids to be.

David, YOU are the gatekeeper here. Please do something and do it soon.
