a friend to all of us.
My 1st post on TheChipBoard was from January 13, 1999. A reply to the also great, Gene Trimble. While I attended the Convention in 1998, I did not meet Greg until the 1999 Convention. Greg was easy to become friends with. Greg was a mentor and over the years, we would talk nearly nightly. We spent countless hours discussing Riverboat chips, TheChipBoard, Limo Studs, CON CAM (Convention Camera), harvesting and ethics to mention a few.
Greg owned a Sonics in Wellington, KS and he kept me supplied with 'free' coupons, but insisted that I not use them in Wellington. Regrettably, I was never able to get there, but between the photos he shared of his home life and other things in Wellington, I feel like I spent some time there. Greg entrusted me and several other ChipBoard participants (they can self-identify now, if they wish) with the ability to "edit" and "delete" ChipBoard posts based on a set of ground rules. Anything outside of the ground rules required a phone call. And again, we had plenty of those.
Greg is missed by so many, and me in particular.
I cannot let this post go by without soliciting Nominations for the 2023 Greg Susong Memorial Award contest. Linked here is the form for CCA members to submit a CCA member in good standing for this annual Award. Further described as:
