The story on those chips is the Chicago cubs used to
practice here on Catalina in Avalon. The field is still here
but not used as a baseball field anymore and there is their
old housing still here that are rented out now.
Anyway one of the ball players liked the name so much
and town, that he in turn when moving to Emeryville
opened a bar and club and named it Avalon.
So great California chip with real Catalina Island connection.
The first set I got my son into collecting because of the
awesome inlay and history.
