If you create and publish an image of something that you own (or see via you taking an original photo,) it is copyrighted by the act of publishing it (in this case, posting it to a website.)

While gaming regs are written to show that chips are always the property of the issuing casino, the casino bought the artwork before the chip was made, and I take that purchase by the casino as free license to photocopy the image on a chip that I have won or purchased from the casino.

Steal my scan once, I'll ask you to ask before doing it again. Steal my scan after I asked you to ask, you just might find a different image at the URL that you thought was good clean fun, I'll embarrass you by redirecting the URL address to a porn photo....!

Bonus info on this subject. The longest word in the English language that includes all vowels and doesn't repeat any letters is: uncopyrightable
