Hi, all. I just peeked at the CCA message board stats, and while I’m sure they don’t approach the views or participation of the chip board (and perhaps it never will), I’m confident in saying the engagement thus far vastly exceeds my perception of participation on the old message boards. If you login to the new message boards, scroll down to the bottom of the main page to click “stats”. There, you will see number of users, average number of people who login per day, top 10 topics/likes/posters, and much more. One interesting thing of note (to me) is that in the first two months of this year, we have exceeded the number of views for all of 2023 (575k Jan/Feb 2024 vs 505k for 2023). I continue to get (and approve) new accounts almost daily. If you haven’t signed up over there yet, please do so, even if you don’t expect to participate much. People like Mike Siskin have been regularly posting awesome content that is not published here. People are asking for ID help, talking about different collectibles, and answering questions from newbies who aren’t CCA members, but hopefully will choose to become one.
Thank you to all that have posted and replied and liked other people’s posts over there. The calendar function and event notices have been nice. I expect 2024 will continue to lever up participation and 2025 numbers will blow away 2024 as well. It only happens if we all contribute just a little bit here and there.
I’ve been asked to make some “how-to” tutorials to help familiarize people with how to use the site. As tech as I am, I’m not a video production guy, so if any of you have those skills and can offer some tips, I’d appreciate the assist. Here’s a link to the message boards to give you a head start:
