I know this sounds dumb, and it's a bit of a pain, but what I do is edit EVERY pic I'm going to post here (if I care that it's right side up, as I'm doing with my posts right now). In the editor, go to the crop tool and just resize it. Any amount. Grab a corner and nudge it in one pixel. Save it and it will appear upright every time.
