Hey Rich there is a graded road to Ft. Irwin out that way that the army uses for convoy traffic to the fort. I believe it's called Manix. Years ago the army was moving a rotation out to the fort, all was going until a tank ran into a bridge support under the I15. Shut it down, traffic was routed on that frontage road on the east side.
