Are you referring to the chip or the autograph?

I believe that in sport card collecting, an autograph will diminish the value of the card and not enhance the value of the autograph. However, sport figure autographs of equipment, enhances the value of the equipment and the autograph.

I've looked at chips as being like equipment, not cards.
