I always enjoyed talking with Bruno. He could be pretty grouchy
and once yelled at me for looking at my double down card on the
21 game. He did give me a complete set of his roulette chips but
I had to rat-hole the money chips off 21. When the Country Club
burned he opened the 21 game in the old Nite Cap (small blue
building). Ann Selmi (Joe’s brother’s wife) was very nice and gave
me some Joe’s chips as the 21 game was closed. She even sent
me some other stuff later on. I talked with Vera Cross who had
the Miners Club. She said her partner took off with the bankroll
one nite and gave me one of her chips (RVW). The Capooch Club
became the Desert and the the Black Rock. The old photo shows
Bruno behind the bar which is now gone.
