According to a survey I saw yesterday, 76% of the U.S. population will either stay home this year
[65%] or not celebrate New Years at all [11%].

This Year for the first time in many years, I join that 65% majority. Don't want to go raise havoc, don't want to dodge cars on the highway on amateur night, and turned down the 2 offers I had from the casinos. Above all I don't want to get trampled in Times Square.

Whatever you might be doing this New Year's eve
Do it safely, and sensibly. Drink enough if you wish but not too much, and above all get home safely.
