Re: Small town stuff; Montgomery Pass... grin

Great old place. One of my largest casino buys ever. It was back in 1994 I believe. I finally made a deal with a member of Bud Soper's family to buy all the remaining chip and dice inventory, and 1 of the BJ tables. I passed on all the remaining slot machines because of their poor condition. It took 2 truck loads to get all the "Stuff" I wanted. The amount of rare old casino dice was fantastic. I wholesaled all the dice to my old friend Jeff Lauderman. I still remember loading 56 boxes of old first issue $25 Montgomery Pass Lodge chips. Literally the boxes were brand new. Considering the place was a very small operation 2 BJ and 1 crap table, I wondered why they had so many $25 chips. The manager told me that Bud the owner had gotten a good deal on the price. A very fond memory from great out of the way place. The main players were the long haul truckers.
