Definitely one of the good guys

I know he'd been struggling with health issues for a while and I am terribly saddened that he's gone.

He was anxious to get out some of the information he had about the old illegal places in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He would call me and say, "Ed, do you think I should submit this to the magazine? Who really cares about this stuff?" I would tell him there are still a few of us, and he would send in the article.

I know he had alot more knowledge of local history, both gambling and other. It's unfortunate he didn't get more down on paper.

Note to all: Be sure to document your personal stories. You are the only one who can! Lost history is a shame.
