I first went to Laughlin around 1970. There were only three joints,
the Riverside, Monte Carlo, and Odie Lopp’s Nevada Club. The road
down to the River was narrow and scary. You had to drive to Davis
Dam and follow the river back to the casinos. There was a fork in
the road with a sign pointing left to the Nevada Club. The Bobcat
Bar was there previously. Some of their chips said South Point, the
original name of Laughlin. Lots of changes since then.
