As far as I know, when sizes are supplied they are put on the listing so as long as provided they will be there if/when you submit them. As you say, it can be important.
(Loose end) Also, in the Playboy section there are 2 session tickets in gaming guides which should have their own section really as it was the charge for playing (per session, obviously, or per shoe if chemin) but there isn't one hence where they are at the moment.
As Le Cercle only had 3 chemin tables when they started, I can only assume that is what the £1 jetons were used for. There is a newspaper clipping that mentions the session/shoe charge. Maybe it was lowered to 5/- or 10/- in 1963 or they got FR tables, I've not been able to find that out yet. No non-denom jetons have been found (yet) either so maybe they did use AR/clay chips as seen in "A hard day's night" or maybe they just haven't surfaced as of this time. Only using 3 cash jetons seems a little low but it's possible that's all they used, I suppose.
As can be seen in the Portsmouth photo, there are different colours in the racks on the table and no denominated jetons have appeared yet which is a surprise as you'd expect at least one to have slipped through the net and been found, but then neither have any plaques. Same for Manchester, no plaques either (or jetons). Did they exist? Possibly or possibly not. Until we find somebody that worked there and who still have their faculties or memories intact we may never know. Hopefully they are things we will find out someday. Even better, some may well turn up so we know for sure.
And table chips should really be called cash chips but that's how it is on the guide so.......................
