Just returned from spending a couple of weeks in the Fernley
area. Lots of history there. Mae Stock built the Light House
Bar (chips) and opened Mae’s Cafe (note the Lew Hymers PC).
The Garden Spot had live gaming in the 50s. The Aldrich Hotel
is still standing. I remember watching live entertainment there
in the 70s. I was told that they had girls upstairs. Mae Stock also
built the Silver Spur bar. Chucker’s is now Jackpot Junction.
