Since they opened Fitzgeralds has used $.50 pieces instead of chips to pay blackjacks. A few years ago we started having a lack of coins in circulation. When they could not get enough $.50 chips they started paying in quarters. Well, everyone started taking the quarters home and they could not get enough of them to keep the games going so they finally broke down and ordered $2.50 chips. I have several of these and they are in very slightly used condition since they have only been in play for a few months.
