I always liked talking with Clara Williams at the
Golden. She used her old Moms chips from her
place across the street. She kept the $25s
under the bar and gave me one whenever
I’d visit. The only other 21 game in town was
at the International but I never saw it open.
The Chinese guy used chips from a place he
had in Sacramento. I met Swede Anderson
when he lived at the Austin Hotel and he gave
me some chips from the Frontier Tavern that
he owned.
