A friend of mine whose grandfather owned Scotty’s and spent
his summers in Winnemucca told me he had vivid memories
of the Bingo sign. He said individual numbers would light up
to form a bingo. Kind of fascinating I guess. It was before my
time and the place was open less than two years. The downtown
guide book missed it. I do remember the Red Bull as kind of
crummy with only one 21 table and a few tight slots. They
didn’t even have their own chips. I think they used Star chips.
There was a large section that sold liquor so I guess it was
natural for Ben’s.
