None of what’s below is proof positive, so the pals will, I’m sure, remain an unknown. However, it’s good enough for me.
I was just reminded that the hot stamped Pal’s Club chips found with the crest and seal chips used the Jones mold. The c&s and hot stamps were sold on eBay from a New Orleans estate. Jones & co (located in New Orleans) made chips for New Orleans and other Gulf Coast properties.
