I understand the research done and it was thorough, I’m sure. However, to suggest that “100% verified information where the Chip is from” is necessary to authenticate a given Chip is impossible.

Without shipping records, there are many Illegals now listed that would fall into that UFC classification.

In Ed Hertel’s Illegal Chip Guide, chips are assigned a Strength of Attribution from A to F based on just what you describe. I can’t speak for Ed, but having done considerable Illegal Chip research, I think your requirement is just wrong.

Finally, while in this case you did much of the research on this chip,I still question how any person can change a ChipGuide attribution by himself without some system of concurrence from the original contributor or the board administrator.
