The swastika design chips have nothing to do with the nazis in Germany. Even they used it in both orientations. It is an old geometric design. It goes back to ancient times. In Dale Seymour's first book on antique chips, he dates it to around 1905. as for the little hole in the middle, I have seen where pool halls and bars would drill chips and tokens and string them on a wire as a counting device for games. Having said that. all of these old chips designs are already listed in the "Other Guides" section of the Chip Guide.
