I have seen a lot of vitriol flying around the board and it is disheartening.

I think everyone wants what best for the club and hobby, even if they can't always agree on what that is. I DO hope that everyone agrees that name-calling, bullying, etc have no place on this private board, nor does anything other than reflect poorly on the poster.

In the spirit of trying to stay positive I wanted to put out a public thanks to David Spragg for all of his effort for both the club and the hobby. Let's remember that he voluntarily stepped into a very high profile role at time when leadership was needed. I'm not expecting everyone to agree with everything that has been done, but you have to give respect to those who step up.

He has also maintained, free of charge, this private board, the defacto face of the chip hobby for all to use. It's hard to quantify they good will something like this has done for the hobby, to have a free, open, public forum for people to exchange ideas and perspectives. To ask questions and get answers.

I'm not blind to the issues the club and hobby have, I'm sure others will drive those discussions. But for now I choose to reflect on some positive things like the contributions of Dave.
