A real shame. A shame that it devolves to this.

I sit on a few boards, not for hobbies, but for business or other type of private club, none operate like this. There has been occasion to remove board members who behaved badly or gave an organization an undo bad look. It takes 10 minutes to read this clubs constitution and amendments including code of conduct. Some would make it appear so very hard to change things, it is not.

As a club with membership we have had the unfortunate duty to suspend or revoke membership in the club due to the bad behavior of a member, you know like attempts to doxx someone on the internet such as J Eric whatever his name is. But yet when this guy attempts to put my personal information here on this board, the safe place where my children reside along with threats I take that very seriously. I also take it seriously that the webmaster of this board , the President of the CCA takes no action in regard to this doxxing attempt irresponsible at best.

I'm sorry that respected voices in the hobby are now expressing their concerns over the mismanagement and stagnation of the club, I suppose he can quell the dissent by banning all who speak against him or the board but that would change nothing.

This isn't going to get any better until bad actors are removed and the good of the club is put ahead of what appears to be some kind of good ol boys BOD lording over its membership. Good and proper choices are hard sometimes.

It is really hard to watch all this but that doesnt mean voices should be quelled, good leadership would make meaningful changes. Like all clubs they take advantage of the fact that the majority of regular membership pay no mind to this stuff or speak out, they just say "What happened" when the club fails.

Captain Smith had no choice, David Spragg has options yet ignores good choices for attacks on someone he feels may be a threat. I would not rule out legal action from someone accused in todays world of sexual harassment on an open internet forum. That is sinking to the lowest point ever. I was not in the room????? Seriously? I was... A lot and you were there every time busy trying to sell Mitch used phone cards and disney passes.

Elections have consequences and upcoming ones will. Campaigning should be very interesting while at the same time damaging the club further. Careful hanging your hat on the fact that there has been many uncontested elections in the past.
