My son is an associate member and has been active with me
at the convention. Except this year he and his wife got caught up in a hail storm
and ruined both of their vehicles so he had to attend to that right before
the convention. He lives in Texas and they were both driving separate
cars at the time.
My son enjoys it and has even made friends with members.
Maybe he’ll take over my collection some day ?
That’s maybe the biggest problem with the hobby ? Youth is
not so much into or have the funds to finance such a thing.
Also a lot of people collect because of the old days atmosphere
and remembrance of Famous Celebs such as Elvis, Sinatra
etc. Which doesn’t exist in the same caliber as then, and they
have only heard about and not experienced that as a memory.
Tough business and hobby but still attracting some.
Nice to see some of the new younger people that do get involved.
