These ideas have emerged from this discussion. I support all of them.

The club going into the eBay business is truly an embarrassment. A million dollars in chips is a lot of chips. A better idea would be a fund raiser to the membership, possibly two a year. Using the chip guide put together a $10,000 group of chips and sell these packages to club members or dealers for $2,000. I bet you would sell a lot of packages. If I remember correctly the goal was $10,000 a year. I believe this would be accomplished in minutes. How about a $50,000 annual goal. There you go Mr. Kaplan! Run with it! The one thing you need to do though is figure out a reason to have a fundraiser. What will the funds be used for? What ideas do you have? What is your vision for this club?
