Post Convention - Social Media Director Update

Fellow Club Members,

Now that the convention is over it’s time to focus on next year’s convention and other projects we are working on. We will continue to put the word out about the 2024 convention every month as it is never too early to start promoting.

Dedicated Email address:

I got the green light from the President to create a brand-new Email address that will be specifically linked to the position and not a personal email address. With this change it will allow the position to create new accounts and can be easily passed with historical information to the next director.

Facebook

We still have two different pages, and I am working with Jim Follis to gain full control over one of the pages. If that is possible it will be the official page. More to come but we are working on it. We continue to post new releases on Facebook and other social media platforms going forward.

Message Boards

When I create the new email address I will get the admins of PCF, Pokerchipper.com and CB and create new logins for this position.

Youtube:

Still working on getting control of the club’s account and once we do, I will work with our new Video Production Manager (Club Member Volunteer).

Instagram and Twitter:

We will establish accounts in the future but are still trying to work out what kind of Content we want to post on these platforms. I am open to all ideas as I have limited knowledge on these but there is the Internet.

What can you do:

Personally, I have some knowledge about Indian and Riverboats but nowhere near an expert on them. I also don't have years of experience of gambling in older Vegas or California card rooms. For the club to continue to get the message out about how great this hobby is we need historical stories. So, if you have a favorite chip that has a story behind it we am open to all that information. Please keep in mind that this will go on Facebook and other platforms. If you are looking for a good example of what I am talking about there is a Facebook group called Vintage Las Vegas. Every now and then I will link a chip from the casinos they show pictures of. This does seem to get some positive reactions. We are not limiting this to just Nevada so it can be from any casino.

Thanks for reading.

I will try to post monthly updates to keep everyone up to date.
