Re: WI News Update
In Response To: Re: WI News Update ()

I am in Milwaukee this weekend and was disappointed to see that the poker room at Potawatomi is permanently closed. The one at Harrahs in Joliet was also permanently closed. Covid strikes again.

Just saw that. I never played and I generally have avoided Milwaukee for years. I am surprised that the poker room didn't have a huge following, considering the size of the city and the interest levels.

We went through Green Bay again, stopped and played free birthday points. Then headed up to Carter. This time we didn't even bother to drive to Mole Lake. The sports book was supposed to be open, along with the new Mexican restaurant. I'd actually go, just for that.

We were about 10 miles from Black River Falls yesterday, and decided to head home. Hot, the AC in the car was broken, it's a few hours back, including some wonderful, winding, two lane roads.

Only news is non-news. I looked at the tables at OGB and still none of the new $5 larger logo chips, on the tables. Cage said when they ordered the new 50c and $1, they added some $5. None seen so far.

Next planned trip is October or November. If I can convince Valerie grin I'd like to make the trip a bit of a ride in the country and visit Bowler and Keshena on the way up. Some days, both for us are more interested in just getting there and relaxing in Carter/Wabeno.

For veterans day, weather depending, I make a loop, get the free pin, shirt, lunch or whatever they are giving away. Some free play. (last year I almost covered the cost of the fuel) At some casinos. I'm marking Wittenberg off the list, too many miles.

Oneida, GB - Menominee, Keshena - North Star Mohican, Bowler. Or big loop, OGB, Menominee, Mole, The Pot Carter and home.

Rumors are the tables are going from Menominee or gone?
