One of the things I enjoyed the most was spending time listening to some of the people involved in our hobby. This list is by no means all inclusive but here are some highlights:

Raulin Mendonca - I spent a lot of time with Raulin in the trade sessions and enjoyed his stories about all the different California card rooms he had visited. This guy has a wealth of knowledge.
Jeff Bass - Jeff is the Chipguide admin that covers California. He explained all the research he does about California card rooms and is the one who has improved some of the descriptions in the Chipguide. I had no idea!
Scott and Estelle Hartman - They took the time to speak with me on the opening morning of the show about chipping, life, grandkids, etc. Very nice people!
Sheryl Cutler (Steve Cutler's wife) - Did you know Sheryl had a career of going around the country setting up gift shops at new casinos including Kansas Star Casino which is 20 minutes away? I only spent 10 minutes talking to her while I was purusing chips at their table but Sheryl had some very interesting stories which included working for Steve Wynn.

Anyway, thought I would share some of the really interesting people we have in our hobby!
