I didn't get to go to the convention. But as a first-year member I really enjoyed reading the chip board post during the convention days. They were filled with great photos of people at the convention, and I was able to put some faces to the names of some of the people I've gotten chips from. That was great. I also saw some posts of some great chips that members got at the convention. That was fun as well. And there were post thanking the people who ran the convention, (from what I understand a lot of it is voluntary and that was really cool too). But what I liked the best was that during the convention there were no negative post. (Not that I saw anyway). That was really great.
Unfortunately, the convention is now over and the name calling has started again. What a shame. I'm not taking sides cause it's impossible to ascertain the facts when one-member accuses another of something with a random post. So, I continue to respect all of you, and everyone's right to say whatever you want to on this forum.
But as a new member, who have joined this club because they love chip collecting and learning about chips. it's a downer to have to hear some of this stuff over and over. Thank goodness the majority of the stuff I've gotten here has been good and through these posts and the chip guide and the numerous other guides, stories and publications and videos, that I've found, through this forum and other related forums. I continue to get a chip education.
Thank you.
