Trav; "Slot Slips" is an accurate description of the latest collectible in the hobby... but what technical name do we call those fanatics who collect these slips? Example: Numismatists for coin collectors; Philatelist for stamp collectors; Vecturist for Transportation collectors; Exonumists for those who collect non-government issues; etc. I used to belong to a select group of coin collectors who specialized in early half dollars minted between 1807 & 1836. We were called "Bust Nuts" as the half-dollars of those period had a bust design of Liberty on the "heads" side.
