With everything going on right now I had to share this message I just got from an EBay buyer. To some of us certain chips and tokens mean way more than just looks or value. I have received many messages like this one but after reading it today I thought I would share as we all get ready for the 30th convention. I know for me I have a photo of my parents (both passed) at Lady Luck Casino. Next to them I have the 1.00 chip that was would have been on the table when they visited.

Here is the message I just got.

Hi Paul. Got the Sassy Sally’s chip (Token) today and thanks for the prompt shipping!

In 1985 my wife of 38 years and I had just started dating when I, a consumer electronics salesman and she, a former buyer for a big store chain, were both in Las Vegas at the same time for the consumer electronics show. I told her I’d take her to dinner downtown and we walked by Sassy Sally’s. The song was playing and we went in.

We played nickel slots for an hour and, because I’m so romantic and a big spender (and we were hungry) I ordered our dinner: a $5 Sassy Sally’s pizza. We ate it on bar stools in front of the slots and we laughed about as we do today.

Yes, it’s a fond memory since our relationship “accelerated” that evening. I just gave her the chip and she loved it. I love it too as we now have an artifact to hold that brings back this specific memory.
