From my understanding Oscar received a DMCA complaint for using CG photos in a video ABOUT CHIPGUIDE because he didn't interject some awkward VOICED passage about the obvious photos being from CG...even though fair use would dictate that it's probably allowed. The nightly news would be 3 hours long with every voiced citation if that were truly needed. Curious why Charles feels the citation need to be spoken and not just plainly listed in text below? Asking Oscar to re-edit and re-record his videos with a new narration is unreasonable...and frankly just bullying.

Without fair use we would have no FREE SPEECH...the very essence of what this country is built on. Imagine not being able to post a photo of something you are reviewing or being critical of because the person being criticized doesn't like it. Is that the kind of society we want to live in? Oscar should just list in his videos his intention of fair use and be done with it.

I tend not to comment on Charles anymore because you get nut jobs out there crying conspiracy or worse yet even doxxing people with home addresses. But at a bare minimum you have to say this was just an unmerited action on an upstanding member of our community. A 22 year old kid no less. That another avenue of dealing with this could not be found just shows an abysmal lack of leadership and frankly public relations.
