From what I have heard, and seen, this is correct. The complaint can be just about anything.
If a long time vlogger, with tens of thousands of subscribers, has a non-public domain song playing in the background of a video..that is one strike! Three strikes and the channel gets permanently shut down.
Unless something has changed, YouTube does not have a system in place for content creators to file an appeal.
To actually rat someone out to YouTube because you don’t like what someone is saying is the lowest of the low..
