I sailed on Saturday on the Texas Treasure II. A nice ship--nicer than the Texas Treasure I out of Port Aransas. This ship sailed from Freeport, south of Houston. The waters were rough and many people (there were less than 100 gamblers on the ship) got sea sick. I tried to get a sample of all of the chips I could afford (see previous post about the Tokens) and I found some nice Roulette chips. I managed to pocket a handful of Roulettes and when I left the table, I went to another room to transfer a pocketful of chips to my little fanny pack. As I was sitting there an employee came running up to me and asked if I still had some of the purple roulette chips in my pocket? (Have no idea who spotted me.) He told me I had to cash them in for regular value chips. He said they had no value. (Maybe not for him τΏτ!) I asked if I could keep one for a souvenir. He said no, and repeated they had no value. I followed him back to the Roulette table room and grabbed the chips out of my pocket to cash in. I must have missed one because it was still in my pocket when I got home. But--this is my only chip. The dealer said the picture was a bronco rider on a horse. It is a 500 mile round trip for me but if I go again, I'll try again.
