~~~ Catalog illustrations (sketches/photos) of the complete cabinet of gambling chips showing this Ivory piece from Franz Hiess & Söhne - Wien, needed for research of denominations and size of chips.

Two auction houses have been all over this piece but, I have a lot of work in order to write an accurate description should I decide to consign...

Exposure of the set or other boxed sets of Ivory game pieces might also be illustrat along with smoking pipes, fine clocks and other Silver, Bone and Mother-of-Pearl items in advertising for the 1893 Columbian Exposition, in Chicago newspapers or magazines... since France Hiess had a booth there... He was also listed in the Wien (Vienna) city directory of 1870 as a Turner.

The mention of Söhne (Sons) in the company name is because he had four and, thus far, I do not see them mentioned by name...
