I looked back in the archive and found the phrase I was thinking of and it was "fleecing endeavor" rather than opportunity. I put the quotes just around that part of the post, which is what I was trying to say you had said. The rest of it, about the pennies on the dollar, were my own thoughts.
I believe that we may see more ethics in the chip hobby as it matures. Imagine you found an old stamp or coin and took it down to a local coin or stamp dealer. You didn't know what it was worth and trusted the dealer to be fair. The dealer gave you $10 for it. The next week you stop by and see the same item in the dealer's display case for $1000. How are you going to feel? Ripped off? Fleeced? Maybe you would say, "This is good old Capitalism at its finest." Nothing illegal happened but would you consider that dealer to be a dealer of high integrity?
And some of us may just have to agree that our ideas about what is ethical behaviour are different.
